The Rockfish crew enjoy their Xmas party cruise on the harbour

Rockfish Crew Christmas Party

The Rockfish Crew like to party in style too!

Last week, the Rockfish crew had their Christmas Party, with both boats venturing out to Athol Bay, one of our favourite spots in the Harbour. We picked a great night for it too!

The sunset was incredible! Sydney is known for its awesome sunsets and this evening was one of those magical moments where you just couldn’t take your eyes off of it. Usually the sun disappears in the blink of an eye, but it seemed like it took forever for the sun to go down and the sky just got more and more beautiful as the evening went on. There is not much that beats siting on the roof of a private catamaran with some of your favourite people and taking a moment to appreciate just how beautiful our city is at dusk time. To say it was serene would be an understatement!

Once the sun had gone down, we were treated to an amazing firework display … I don’t know what they were in aid of but they looked great and the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge were lit up in a fantastic array of colours. If this was just a random firework display on a Wednesday evening, I can’t even begin to imagine what New Year’s Eve would be like!

As if we hadn’t had enough visual delights for one evening, then hit one of the most incredible storms I’ve seen during my time in Sydney!  And we had the best seat in the house! For a long time, we could see flashes of lightening all around us, the pictures below just don’t do it justice! Even when the rain hit our spot, nothing could dampen our spirits, proving that, no matter the weather, a Rockfish cruise is as much fun as you can have when you’re with the best bunch of people!
