Sydney Harbour boat hire FAQs
How much does it cost to hire a catamaran on Sydney Harbour?
A 4-hour charter is $2,500 Sunday to Friday, $2,800 on Saturdays, $3,200 on public holidays and $15,000 on New Year’s Eve. That’s the price for the whole boat, not per person, so with 43 guests it works out at under $15 per person, per hour. Skipper, deckhand, fuel and wharf fees are all included. How many people can we bring?
Rockfish III carries up to 43 guests, including any DJs, entertainers or photographers you bring.
Is Rockfish a party boat?
Yes. Rockfish III is a private party boat for hire on Sydney Harbour. You get the whole boat for birthdays, hens, bucks, Christmas parties and work events, with BYO drinks, a gas BBQ and Bluetooth speakers.
Can we BYO food and drinks?
Yes, you can BYO food and drinks. Use the gas BBQ on board or add our $25pp BBQ package or a cheese platter. Cans are easiest, but wine and champagne are fine.
Where does the boat leave from?
King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour. Extra pickups at Woolloomooloo, Rose Bay or Double Bay are $100 per wharf.
How long is a cruise?
4 hours as standard: past the Opera House and Bridge, a swim stop at a beach like Athol Bay, then back. Longer cruises are available. Bucks parties are 3 hours.
What if it rains?
We still sail, with plenty of undercover space. If the skipper says it’s unsafe, we move your date rather than cancel.
How does the deposit work?
$500 by card to lock in your date, balance due 14 days before you sail. Booking inside two weeks means full payment upfront.
